Insight Improv

Does this describe you or your team?: You need to learn how to communicate more clearly. You want to learn when to be a leader and when to be a follower. You have a good team that wants to learn how to be great.  Or you have a dysfunctional team that needs help fast… The Insight Improv workshop takes lessons from theatre improvisational techniques, adds the latest research in psychology and group behavior and combines it all into a fast-paced, dynamic, interactive, and entertaining session. You experience powerful lessons and have fun at the same time – the best kind of learning there is.

Susan, you know theatre? If you’ve read other pages at this website, then you know that I have a Ph.D. in Psychology and have been a speaker, seminar leader, and consultant to Fortune 1000 companies world wide for over 30 years. What you may not know is that in addition to my experience in corporate training, I also sing with a jazz band, and act with a community theatre group (recent lead roles include My Fair Lady, Funny Girl, Gypsy, and Fiddler on the Roof). So I’ve put together the Insight Improv workshop to combine my psychology, corporate training, theatre, and performance expertise.

What is The Insight Improv Workshop? The Insight Improv workshop uses improvisational theatre exercises to explore how to better communicate, what it means to be a leader, what it means to be a follower, how teams go awry and why, and much more. No theatre experience is necessary. Whether you are a wallflower or someone who likes to be onstage, the Insight Improv workshop is participatory in a fun and non-threatening way.

How long is an Insight Improv workshop? Most workshops are 3 hours long, but I also offer 1 and 2 hour versions for large groups.

Here’s what one client had to say about a recent Insight Improv workshop:

From the opening exercise, to the closing remarks, all were engaged, and delighted. Even the more introverted participants were fully involved, and one commented that though she was a bit apprehensive at first, throughout the morning she found the workshop very comfortable. The participants each completed an evaluation at the close of the event, and all responses were extremely positive. Some wrote:

· “Offer more programs like this”

· “Fab job!!!”

· “Lots of refreshing fun!”

· “Keep planning these types of programs for. It was so great.”

· “ Very impressive, beginning to end.”
